Project Progress

Not much progress financially. Actually I'm a ANOTHER wedding and had to put the deposit down on the bridesmaid dress, so I lost progress. Gah. (Am I allowed to say I'm sick of weddings, and how expensive they are?)

But, we've been working hard on home projects. We cut, and sanded our closet door trim. Yesterday we cut assembled and installed another raised garden bed. Just have to fill it. We only have one more bed to do, and we've already got it built, still need to bury and level it. Every year we've built a couple more, and kept increasing our garden size. But we will be finally be done making garden boxes, at least until our family grows.

Besides that I've got all the goat kids tattooed and vaccinated. Just need to fill out and send in all their paperwork.

    My bridesmaid dresses were half the price of ones I've had to buy. Also I paid for all the stuff for my own shower. I had 7 bridesmaid's and not one offered to help pay. But so far I've been expected to pay for a portion of all of them I've been in.

    Which is fine, really. But a dress that is $300, and then spending several hundred dollars on the shower, gifts, parties, etc. Times 3 since July is getting rather expensive. We are talking nearly two thousand dollars I could have put towards debt. >.

    I am with you in the expenses. My husband is in a friend's wedding first weekend in October in the Pocanos. Which will require a full weekend of a place to stay, tux, babysitter, travel costs, etc. Then the next weekend, we have a local one, where we will Uber back & forth, but will need gifts, etc. Then another slightly out of town one the 3rd weekend of that month - requiring a place to stay, travel costs, gift costs, etc. All good friends and I am happy to celebrate with them - but its going to be EXPENSIVE!
